Honours! (:

0700
Went to school in the morning, attended my first period, which wasn't really a lesson at all, and then went to Chamber room for sectionals.

0900
Sectionals were really quite effective.. Hmm that's the way adriel works I guess, we don't have many session, but each session is useful and today our running passages at #23 was really much more together (:

1200
Had lunch together, and then combined rehearsal. Gah that's when my headache first struck.. Managed to sustain until 1:30, when we finally finished rehearsing and started moving to the bus. Rushed down to 7-11 and bought Panadol pills, and then I had a light tea-break consisting of 2 buns before I popped 2 pills in and slept on the bus

1400
Reached Republic Poly. Headache was still going on, but a little surpressed I guess. >< I was trying my best to look okay and fine, and telling myself to at least last all the way until we finished playing. Spent like another 10 minutes in the toilet splashing water on my face and trying to stay focused, but it didn't really helped

1530
Ee I wasted $6 on those Panadols. They don't work. ><>.< But our Shosty totally rocks okay? Hmm maybe rushing a teeny weeny bit and slightly messy at the end, but our opening was so impressive i almost dropped my bow haha.

Felt really good after our performance. I think despite my headache it was like my best performance so far. Haha I got section 23, 31 and 35 all in time and in tune haha! =D Not my first time lah, but I was really surprised I could do it under those circumstances. I rmbred 2 years back I totally screwed up all our high parts xD

1630
Results were announced, and we were the only JC that got honours haha. Jumped up in Joy, hugged Kaicheng, and almost knocking off his specs in the process. And Xinghe too. Felt really great haha.. Everyone was screaming and jumping around :)

Until..

Right after that few seconds of ecstasy, I rushed to where RISE was, and all the ecstasy and happiness suddenly just disappeared.
Sure they didn't get the award they wanted, but RISE, I'm still proud of you :)
Enjoy the experience, enjoy making music with your friends.
Play your hearts out, the what you get in the end doesn't really matter.

RISE <3!
CHAMBER <3!!!
Love you guys forever, rock on!

It's quite an experience hmm.. to take part in a concert where I don't even get to watch a complete piece at all.

Haha no one enjoys doing saigang lah, but I can always be the one who does it without complains and grumbles (:

I got back the letter for SNYO audition, didn't get in xD
Guess the screw-ups for the Brahms sight-reading was a little too extreme.
But its okay, must stay positive :D
There's still the October audition, that is if I still want to go for it I guess..

But for the remaining 2 years in RJ, I will stay committed to my beloved Chamber and not-so-beloved-but-nevertheless-dear Piano Ensemble :D

Today's Chamber rehearsal was really good. My morale was quite high when rehearsal ended, and I think the same applies for everyone else too (:
SYF in 4 days! Gold-with-Honours FTW!!

:D

It really sucks. When you believe so strongly in something, but there is just no one around to support you.

Not even your family.

The people that you expect the most to be with you and support your decisions – they want you to give up.

They don’t understand you.

They don’t believe in you.

24/7, she will be ridiculing and humiliating me, forever diminishing my already low self-esteem

I’m in a war of my own now, with no one to turn to, no one for support, no one who believes in you.

And it’s just so hard.

J1 Music Concert (:

I don't really know what to say...
The program was simple.
My piece didn't go well at all.
The audience turnout was like ~100 people
But I kind of enjoyed myself much more than a lot of concerts that I've been through.

After the concert, I got an sms from Adriel.
A: How did the J1 concert go?
H: Haha quite well. At least twice the number of audience you guys had last year :P
A: Oh. I can't even remember what happened for my year's lol. Why would anyone want to hear Rj music students perform is beyond me.

Then my reply was really long... ><
H: Hey don't say that lah. It's the attitude towards the concert. The performance itself isn't the key. Our pieces were all very simple but we tried to make it as fun as possible. People don't really go for FOC school concerts to watch recitals, but there to support their friends and treat it like a relaxing way to spend the evening :) That's why i don't really enjoy concerts that are there as performances (like last year's chamber concert omg ><), but concerts that are there as a way for musicians to relate to the audience, like having storylines, whacky emcee speeches, unique pieces that are maybe coupled with fun costumes like pirate eyepatches etc :D
--

When I go for a high quality performances, sometimes I get WOWed by it.
But when I go for simple school concerts, the program isn't that great but people do leave the place with their hearts feeling a little warmer inside :D

Haha Willette has told me not to be so emo, especially on my blogs xD
I don't know.. I think I just do a lot of self reflection myself, and when I start writing a blog post, all these feelings just start flowing out.
Just a few days ago, I asked Daniel Bonaventure, "Do I look very unapproachable?"
I guess its my image to others from the outside. I know I might be quiet. Do I really look very emo?? ><

Quiet people like Benjamin Ni and I are usually those kind of people that really seeks friendships and treasures it a lot.
I prefer to go hungry and take a bus home with Yiyang after concert rather than sit down and eat dinner alone ><
I prefer to stay with JonShin and Willette and eat dinner with them, and then eat dinner at home again -.- because I guess I really want to spend more time with friends.
Actually self reflection (or emo -.-) means I do it alone, so if I hang out more with people then that will curb it I guess =D

Shucks man, I hope I'm not going into another emo rant.
The feelings just flows out. You get what I mean right?

But point is, the concert is super fun and enjoyable. It's been a really great (and maybe somewhat tiring) experience, and I guess our music batch grew closer together :D
We must have another concert later in the year or maybe even next year and really make it a hit man =D
Yiyang will be passing me an entire recording of the concert on Monday. Anyone who wants anything just ask okay?

---
Yes concert is over, but still got so manythings left ><
1. I'm still stuck at Stochiometry for Chem.
2. I don't understand what the first page of the Binomial lecture notes is about.
3. I have 2 chinese compositions due.
4. Gah PI!!
5. SNYO Audition in like 2 weeks OMG ><
6. My cello teacher asked me to go play for BHSO. The repertoire is super enticing okay, especially with Chan Yoong Han starring in the Sibelius concerto. But that would burn off my sundays (and Saturdays got chamber already). I'm still at a lost whether to play for them and lag my homework more, or work on my homework but give up this wonderful experience.
7. CHAMBER SYF IN 25 DAYS. LETS OWN IT.
