Bring it on!

2 more weeks to P-O-P and we are so happy ah

We are from Platoon 2, Viper Company ah!

So many things have passed since my last post, but I just feel soo lazy to blog.

1. SITtest was fun, but unlike other companies, our SITtest was more hiong than field camp. While other companies have the entire afternoon to themselves lepak-ing in their bashas, we tear down and rebuild our bashas, pack and unpack our field pack like one million times, and rifle-overhead while high-kneeling for obscene periods of time. Furthermore, our OC night, which was supposed to be after SITtest, was cancelled. That's what happens when you piss your OC off ))):

2. Hand grenade course was quite boring, especially when I have a faulty umpc (aka laptop). You just sit down and wait for hours and hours, throw one grenade, and then go back to waiting while the rest of the company finishes.

3. We just finished our 16km route march yesterday, together with Whiskey and Taurus company :D It wasn't that tough actually, since it was done at night and thus the air was quite cooling. Plus they give you night snacks and red bull after 12km, so its really quite manageable.

4. I got silver for my first ippt, bronze for my second -.- and silver again for my third. The second ippt was held just a few days after field camp and my knees were a bit weak from all that high-kneeling so my SBJ was like crap. Anw I have sort of grasped the proper technique already and I'm doing >234cm for my practise jumps so I'm quite confident for SBJ now. My pullups has remained constantly at 9 counts though ): I'm going for a retest next test, and hopefully I can do 10 pullups and get that long-coveted gold once and for all.

5. My company is quite welfare (i.e. slack) I think. Physically at least. Our commanders told us that our OC doesn't believe in teaching us through physical punishment, so we have never done pushups, crunches, etc. at all apart from during PT lessons. Once, a BCCT instructor tried to pump us because one guy still had his watch on (we're supposed to remove all hard objects from our body). After our first pushup, our OC called for a water break x)

6. My company's IPPT is not exactly stellar I think. Currently we still got about 20-30% failures for IPPT, but nevertheless, I think we're quite zai at running. This is one aspect which our OC really pushes us at. Our Ability Group Run (AGR) has no Group D runners at all (IPPT >12:30), and Group A is like 35% of the company :D I did 9:32 and 9:25 for my recent two IPPTs, and I'm going to aim for sub-9:20 for my retest :D

7. Having a faulty umpc sucks. You stone around during umpc sessions while everyone else is facebooking or chatting.

8. I haven't applied for any unis yet. Even the local music uni application opens in September T_T I don't know whether I should just apply for something now even though it is not probably not I want to do actually.

Okay that's all.
