This week has been a sporty week.
Monday: Basketball @ CCK
Tuesday: Badminton @ Hougang
Wednesday: Tennis @ Tanah Merah
Thursday: nothing.. was Christmas and no one was free
Friday: Badminton, followed by Swimming @ Seng Kang
Saturday: Tennis @ Tanah Merah
I've already talked about basketball in my previous blog post, so I shall talk about the rest.
Badminton was fun, but I'm super noob since I have always played badminton in an open space without a net, and the sole purpose would be to bring the ball over to the other side -.- But the absence of the net leaves me unexposed to lots of tactics like cheapo shots where you just tap the shuttlecock lightly over the net and leave me lunging for it since I will probably be at the back waiting for the shuttlecock instead.
But I'm improving fast okay. 3 things to work on, backhand, jump-smack, and cheapo-shots, and I should be done. I almost won kenneth on Friday >.<
Tennis is played at my Uncle's condominium, where I am noober than I am at badminton but I am still improving fast. My backhand is still cmi, but other than that I'm quite an okay player already. And my uncle's daughter, (I think she's around 5 years old or so), haha she's super duper cute and has a really sweet smile that will brighten your day and make you go "Aww....". Really haha! =D
Swimming was as usual, and I'm still vexed that my leg always cramp when I start doing the butterfly stroke. Cos breastroke activates mainly your knees and thighs, freestyle moves your thighs a lot, but butterfly uses a lot of calf muscle and when I'm at the 40m mark and nearing the end that's when I'll go ouch -.- But I still can't be bothered to do warm-up exercises =P
I haven't been playing any computer games at all, mainly sports and my cello and piano, but sad to say I haven't been touching my cello much this week again T.T like about once or twice only >.< I realised that even if I spend my whole day at home, my 2 biggest time-wasters are Reading and Sudoku.
Once I finish with this series of 武侠 I shall stop reading and spend more time on cello and piano. But I think I will still continue with Sudoku because I stopped playing my Rubik's cube already and I need to occupy my hands with something. Rubik's cube sucks because it harms my fingers and each solve is only like maximum 40 sec. That's really quite short. Each sudoku solve however is about an average 7-8 minutes for the "professional" difficulty puzzle (which is the highest one on my phone) and I realised that maybe I should convert to a Sudoku book before I spoil my eyes because the sudoku game on my phone said that I have spent over 3.5k minutes on it already ><
No more Rubik's cube =P Anyone interested in Brand's suboku challenge next year? =D
Oh and next tuesday I'm going to play tennis again, so rest of the days still available for other sports (I'm particularly itching for badminton and basketball) Haha =D
Anyone?
