Rubik's Cube Singapore Open 2008.

I focused on one category, the One-Hand (OH). I got 4th. Times: 31.81, 40.34, 34.94. Since they took the best 2 out of 3, my average was 33.375.

Lost to the third placed guy by 0.3 seconds, his average was like 33.105seconds. Aiyah! Should have worked more on the picking up and slamming down, and my last PLL shouldn't have taken my own sweet time..zzz.. It was like ~26sec when I was at pll, then i remembered one of the competitors was like "Oh no." Then my cube jammed abit and I took my own sweet time and it became 34.94 >.< Yeah, that guy then ran all the way to my side of the stage and went like "Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Ouch. Ouch Ouch. OUCH!

I'm sure I focus on one category i don't get anything >.<, ppl focus on everything they get everything. But still, but see how much time they put in, probably like play cube 5-8hours everyday, whilst I'm just playing a bit during lessons every day =P

Shouldn't have stopped cubing during last year nov-dec hols, and this year feb to may. Only resumed in like mid june, then after 2 months of playing abit then go for competition liao >.<

Btw, I'm like the best OH cubist other than the officials. If they don't allow officials to join, I'll get 1st =P hehe. But still, I'm quite contented since I did my usual standards and a bit higher than my expected timing.

(But still!! 0.3 seconds O.o)

Okok forget the past, I'M NOT GOING TO PLAY THAT DAMN CUBE AGAIN UNTIL END OF EOYS IN SEPT 21st!!!! Must keep to this pact, since I've broken all my others without fail. Really, I'm addicted to the cube also, and I dunno what I'm going to do during math/chem/cle/chinese lessons anymore.

Congrats to that HCI guy who swept all the categories. Haha what are you going to do with 1.1k worth of Toy's R Us voucher >.< I might be back next year, I might not be, for now I really need to start focusing on my studies again after wasting this stupid sept hols.

Ah acknowledgments, firstly thanks dennis for participating in the 2x2, where he achieved like an average of 12 seconds? Probably could have gotten like 2nd or 3rd (if officials don't take part again >.<) Then after his event which started at 9.30, he stayed all the way to support me until like 6pm.

Next, Xuewen, who didn't participate in anything, but being that good friend, still came down and support me =D Then Charles who played in 3x3, 3x3 OH, and 2x2, who stayed there throughout the whole competition, and even offered to lend me his cube for 3x3 OH and just sacrifice that round.

Still got Ms Juliana Tay who informed me about the competition. Bryan Choong who first taught me how to do the cube =D And Wanchein who was my main driving factor in that crazy cube addiction for the past year (which carried on to this year).

And of course, Laiweng =D who sent that nice sms to encourage me, and that offline message yesterday night. Really honoured to have such a friend like you =D

Alright, that's all folks, I'M NOT GOING TO PLAY THAT DAMN CUBE AGAIN UNTIL END OF EOYS!!! Slap me if I do that again during lessons.
