the sky has fallen part 3

After school ended today, I took the MRT from Marymount to Changi. The trip took exactly 1 hour inclusive of waiting time.

Then, I took a taxi from Changi Airport to Changi Exhibition Center (CEC) where the Singapore Airshow was held. The trip cost me $13.20.

At the CEC, I collected the entry passes for the Flame of Youth band and myself. We were supposed to perform "Flame of Youth" at the Airshow tomorrow and Sunday.

After collecting the passes, I took the Airshow shuttle bus from CEC back to Changi Airport. The shuttle bus trip cost $5.

At 9:15pm today, I got a call from the Singapore Airshow coordinator. She started the convo with "Hong Rui, I'm really really really sorry to tell you ..."

Sigh.

Imagine you're preparing for a concert and suddenly 12 hours before your concert the organizers tell you that your concert is cancelled. No explanations, nothing. Something cropped up and they had no choice but to cancel it.

Sigh.

Thank you everyone for staying with me and Benlow throughout this entire project :) Everyone who voted for the song on the Sing Singapore 2010 website, our dear teacher ic Ms Hazel Shen, the enthu van driver who was supposed to drive us there tomorrow, Kenneth for preparing to dismantle and lend me his drums again, and all the band members Jerald, Eugene, Ian and Eliza.

It's time to rebuild the sky :)
